Premium
The recurring amount you pay to keep coverage, usually each month.
Deductible
The amount you may need to pay for covered care before your coverage begins paying its share.
Copayment
A fixed amount you pay for a covered service, such as a visit or prescription.
Coinsurance
A percentage of a covered cost that you pay.
What could the year cost you?
Compare expected visits, prescriptions, and other care alongside monthly premiums. Check plan networks, covered drugs, and the rules for services you use.
Original Medicare does not have an annual out-of-pocket limit without additional coverage. Medicare Advantage plans have a yearly limit for covered Part A and Part B services. Drug coverage has its own costs and rules.
